       Senator Rodriguez moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 134 and 135
    4  insert:
    5         (d) All health maintenance contracts in effect in this
    6  state as of the operative date must continue to be in effect
    7  until the renewal date and must be renewable. A health
    8  maintenance organization must renew such a contract if the
    9  covered individual desires to renew.

   12  And the title is amended as follows:
   13         Delete line 30
   14  and insert:
   15         that date; requiring that all health maintenance
   16         contracts in effect as of the operative date must
   17         continue to be in effect until the renewal date and
   18         must be renewable; requiring health maintenance
   19         organizations to renew such a contract if the covered
   20         individual desires to renew; providing an effective
   21         date.
