       Appropriations Subcommittee on Health and Human Services
       (Harrell) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 308 - 316
    4  and insert:
    5         (4)(a) After receiving a request made in accordance with
    6  subsections (1)-(3), a nursing home facility must furnish
    7  applicable records in its possession in accordance with the
    8  timeframe requirements of subsection (1) and the provisions of
    9  this subsection.
   10         (b) If a nursing home facility maintains a system of
   11  electronic health records as defined in s. 408.051, the facility
   12  shall furnish the requested records in the manner chosen by the
   13  requester, which may include paper documents, electronic format,
   14  access through a web-based patient portal, or submission through
   15  a patient’s electronic personal health record.
