       The Committee on Criminal Justice (Brandes) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (703932) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Delete lines 35 - 62
    5  and insert:
    6         Section 6. Section 98.0752, Florida Statutes, is created to
    7  read:
    8         98.0752 Restoration of Voting Rights Work Group.—The
    9  Restoration of Voting Rights Work Group is created within the
   10  Department of State for the purpose of conducting a
   11  comprehensive review of the department's process of verifying
   12  registered voters, applicants, or potential applicants who have
   13  been convicted of a felony, but who may be eligible for
   14  restoration of voting rights under s. 4, Art. VI, of the State
   15  Constitution.
   16         (1) MEMBERSHIP.—The work group is comprised of the
   17  following members:
   18         (a) The Secretary of State or his or her designee, who
   19  shall serve as chair for the work group.
   20         (b) The Secretary of Corrections or his or her designee.
   21         (c) The Commissioner of the Department of Law Enforcement
   22  or his or her designee.
   23         (d) The Chairman of the Florida Commission on Offender
   24  Review or his or her designee.
   25         (e) Two clerks of the circuit court who must be appointed
   26  by the Governor.
   27         (f) Two supervisors of elections who must be appointed by
   28  the Governor.
