Paragraph (a) of subsection (1) of section 7 252.363, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 8 252.363 Tolling and extension of permits and other 9 authorizations.— 10 (1)(a) The declaration of a state of emergency issued by 11 the Governor for a natural emergency tolls the period remaining 12 to exercise the rights under a permit or other authorization for 13 the duration of the emergency declaration. Further, the 14 emergency declaration extends the period remaining to exercise 15 the rights under a permit or other authorization for 6 months in 16 addition to the tolled period. This paragraph applies to the 17 following: 18 1. The expiration of a development order issued by a local 19 government. 20 2. The expiration of a building permit. 21 3. The expiration of a permit issued by the Department of 22 Environmental Protection or a water management district pursuant 23 to part IV of chapter 373. 24 4. The buildout date of a development of regional impact, 25 including any extension of a buildout date that was previously 26 granted as specified in s. 380.06(7)(c). 27 28 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 29 And the title is amended as follows: 30 Between lines 493 and 494 31 insert: 32 amending s. 252.363, F.S.; providing that the 33 declaration of a state of emergency issued by the 34 Governor for a natural emergency tolls the period 35 remaining to exercise the rights under a permit or 36 other authorization for the duration of the emergency 37 declaration;
