       The Committee on Innovation, Industry, and Technology (Farmer)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (672276) (with title
    2  amendment)

    4         Delete lines 218 - 259
    5  and insert:
    6         (b) Vacation rentals.—A local law, ordinance, or regulation
    7  may regulate the location of not prohibit vacation rentals,
    8  except for a property that is also used as a homestead, as
    9  described in s. 6(a), Art. VII of the State Constitution. A
   10  local law, ordinance, or regulation may not or regulate the
   11  duration or frequency of rental of vacation rentals. This
   12  paragraph does not apply to any local law, ordinance, or
   13  regulation:
   14         1. Adopted on or before June 1, 2011, unless a local
   15  government, by a majority vote of the governing body, chooses to
   16  amend such an ordinance.
   17         2.(c) paragraph (b) does not apply to any local law,
   18  ordinance, or regulation Exclusively relating to property
