The Committee on Innovation, Industry, and Technology (Gibson)
recommended the following:

6 Section 6. Section 760.08, Florida Statutes, is amended to
7 read:
8 760.08 Discrimination in places of public accommodation.—
9 (1) All persons are entitled to the full and equal
10 enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities, privileges,
11 advantages, and accommodations of any place of public
12 accommodation without discrimination or segregation on the
13 ground of race, color, national origin, sex, pregnancy,
14 handicap, familial status, or religion.
15 (2) In order to assist with the enforcement of subsection
16 (1), as it applies to vacation rentals as defined in s.
17 509.242(1)(c), operators of vacation rentals shall maintain a
18 register of instances in which guests were denied
19 accommodations. The register must include the name of the guest
20 denied accommodations and the basis for the denial. The register
21 must be maintained in chronological order and be available for
22 inspection at any time by the Division of Hotels and Restaurants
23 of the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
