       Senator Gruters moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Before line 58
    4  insert:
    5         Section 1. Subsection (1) of section 20.255, Florida
    6  Statutes, is amended to read:
    7         20.255 Department of Environmental Protection.—There is
    8  created a Department of Environmental Protection.
    9         (1) The head of the Department of Environmental Protection
   10  shall be a secretary, who shall be appointed by the Governor
   11  and, with the concurrence of three members of the Cabinet. The
   12  secretary shall be confirmed by the Florida Senate. The
   13  secretary shall serve at the pleasure of the Governor.
