       Senator Berman moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with directory amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 1387 and 1388
    4  insert:
    5         (112) SOLAR POWER LICENSE PLATES.—
    6         (a) The department shall develop a Solar Power license
    7  plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The plate
    8  must bear the colors and design approved by the department. The
    9  word “Florida” must appear at the top of the plate, and the
   10  words “Powered by the Sun” must appear at the bottom of the
   11  plate.
   12         (b) The annual fees from the sale of the plate must be
   13  distributed to the Florida Solar Energy Research and Education
   14  Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit Florida corporation under s.
   15  501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, to fund programs which
   16  support greater employment opportunities and job training
   17  programs that promote the growth of the solar energy industry in
   18  Florida. Up to 10 percent of the proceeds may be used for
   19  administrative costs and to promote and market the plate.
