    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to qualifying medical conditions for
    3         medical use of marijuana; amending s. 381.986, F.S.;
    4         adding sickle cell disease to the list of qualifying
    5         medical conditions for medical use of marijuana;
    6         providing an effective date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    9  
   10         Section 1. Paragraph (n) is added to subsection (2) of
   11  section 381.986, Florida Statutes, to read:
   12         381.986 Medical use of marijuana.—
   13         (2) QUALIFYING MEDICAL CONDITIONS.—A patient must be
   14  diagnosed with at least one of the following conditions to
   15  qualify to receive marijuana or a marijuana delivery device:
   16         (n) Sickle cell disease.
   17         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2020.
