       Senator Baxley moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Between lines 236 and 237
    4  insert:
    5         Section 6. Subsection (61) of section 497.005, Florida
    6  Statutes, is amended to read:
    7         497.005 Definitions.—As used in this chapter, the term:
    8         (61) “Preneed contract” means any arrangement or method, of
    9  which the provider of funeral merchandise or services has actual
   10  knowledge, whereby any person agrees to furnish funeral
   11  merchandise or service in the future. For purposes of the
   12  Florida Insurance Code, a preneed contract for repatriation of
   13  remains or funeral services to be provided for a beneficiary who
   14  dies outside of the service area of the licensee is not deemed
   15  to be travel insurance.

   19         Delete line 22
   20  and insert:
   21         identifying information; amending s. 497.005, F.S.;
   22         revising the definition of the term “preneed contract”
   23         to specify that certain preneed contracts are not
   24         deemed to be travel insurance; amending s. 497.101,
   25         F.S.;
