       Senator Gruters moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 730 and 731
    4  insert:
    5         Section 22. Subsection (4) of section 627.7295, Florida
    6  Statutes, is amended to read:
    7         627.7295 Motor vehicle insurance contracts.—
    8         (4) The insurer may cancel the policy in accordance with
    9  this code except that, notwithstanding s. 627.728, an insurer
   10  may not cancel a new policy or binder during the first 30 60
   11  days immediately following the effective date of the policy or
   12  binder for nonpayment of premium unless the reason for the
   13  cancellation is the issuance of a check for the premium that is
   14  dishonored for any reason or any other type of premium payment
   15  that was subsequently determined to be rejected or invalid.

   19         Delete line 88
   20  and insert:
   21         act; amending s. 627.7295, F.S.; decreasing the
   22         timeframe during which an insurer may not cancel a new

   24         nonpayment of premium except under certain
   25         circumstances; amending s. 631.57, F.S.; deleting a
   26         deductible
