       Senator Brandes moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Between lines 442 and 443
    4  insert:
    5         Section 16. Subsection (9) is added to section 627.0629,
    6  Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         627.0629 Residential property insurance; rate filings.—
    8         (9) A property insurer may implement discounts for current
    9  and former members of the United States military and for
   10  teachers. After a period of no less than 12 months after a
   11  discount program under this subsection is implemented by an
   12  insurer, the office may require the insurer to submit data to
   13  justify the discount.
