Present subsection (7) of section 943.0311, 6 Florida Statutes, is redesignated as subsection (10), and a new 7 subsection (7) and subsections (8) and (9) are added to that 8 section, to read: 9 943.0311 Chief of Domestic Security; duties of the 10 department with respect to domestic security.— 11 (7) The chief shall oversee the development of a statewide 12 strategy for targeted violence prevention to develop a 13 comprehensive threat assessment strategy and appropriate 14 training to be used by state and local law enforcement agencies. 15 The chief shall coordinate with state and local law enforcement 16 agencies in the development of the statewide strategy and its 17 implementation. 18 (8) Any statewide strategy for targeted violence prevention 19 shall be evaluated periodically, as determined by the 20 department, and after any event of targeted violence, to 21 incorporate changes needed to address deficiencies and improve 22 effectiveness. 23 (9) Subsections (7) and (8) may not be construed to 24 abrogate or diminish any person’s right to be secure in their 25 persons, houses, papers, and effects against unreasonable 26 seizures and searches as provided in the United States and 27 Florida Constitutions, and in the laws of this state and the 28 Federal Government, including, but not limited to, s. 933.04. 29 30 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 31 And the title is amended as follows: 32 Delete line 16 33 and insert: 34 offender under certain circumstances; amending s. 35 943.0311, F.S.; requiring the Chief of Domestic 36 Security to oversee the development of a statewide 37 strategy for targeted violence prevention; requiring 38 the chief to coordinate with state and local law 39 enforcement agencies in the development of the 40 statewide strategy and in its implementation; 41 requiring periodic evaluation of the statewide 42 strategy; providing construction; providing an
