    2         An act relating to state symbols; creating s. 15.0522,
    3         F.S.; designating coconut patties as the official
    4         state candy; providing an effective date.

    6  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    7  
    8         Section 1. Section 15.0522, Florida Statutes, is created to
    9  read:
   10         15.0522 Official state candy.—Coconut patties, including
   11  both chocolate-dipped and nonchocolate varieties, are designated
   12  as the official Florida state candy.
   13         Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
