Section 390.01114, Florida Statutes, is 6 repealed. 7 Section 3. Section 390.01116, Florida Statutes, is 8 repealed. 9 Section 4. Paragraph (a) of subsection (6) of section 10 27.511, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 11 27.511 Offices of criminal conflict and civil regional 12 counsel; legislative intent; qualifications; appointment; 13 duties.— 14 (6)(a) The office of criminal conflict and civil regional 15 counsel has primary responsibility for representing persons 16 entitled to court-appointed counsel under the Federal or State 17 Constitution or as authorized by general law in civil 18 proceedings, including, but not limited to, proceedings under s. 19 393.12 and chapters 39, 392, 397, 415, 743, 744, and 984 and 20 proceedings to terminate parental rights under chapter 63. 21Private court-appointed counsel eligible under s. 27.40 have22primary responsibility for representing minors who request23counsel under s. 390.01114, the Parental Notice of Abortion Act;24however, the office of criminal conflict and civil regional25counsel may represent a minor under that section if the court26finds that no private court-appointed attorney is available.27 Section 5. Subsection (4) of section 743.067, Florida 28 Statutes, is amended to read: 29 743.067 Certified unaccompanied homeless youths.— 30(4) This section does not affect the requirements of s.31390.01114.32 33 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 34 And the title is amended as follows: 35 Delete line 44 36 and insert: 37 severability; repealing ss. 390.01114 and 390.01116, 38 F.S., relating to the Parental Notice of Abortion Act 39 and public records exemptions for minors seeking 40 waiver of notice requirements, respectively; amending 41 ss. 27.511 and 743.067, F.S.; conforming provisions to 42 changes made by the act; providing an effective date.
