       Senator Berman moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (253764) (with directory
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Between lines 1310 and 1311
    5  insert:
    6         (112) SOLAR POWER LICENSE PLATES.—
    7         (a) The department shall develop a Solar Power license
    8  plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The plate
    9  must bear the colors and design approved by the department. The
   10  word “Florida” must appear at the top of the plate, and the
   11  words “Powered by the Sun” must appear at the bottom of the
   12  plate.
   13         (b) The annual fees from the sale of the plate must be
   14  distributed to the Florida Solar Energy Research and Education
   15  Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit Florida corporation under s.
   16  501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, to fund programs which
   17  support greater employment opportunities and job training
   18  programs that promote the growth of the solar energy industry in
   19  Florida. Up to 10 percent of the proceeds may be used for
   20  administrative costs and to promote and market the plate.
