       Senator Thurston moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (253764) (with directory
    2  amendment)

    4         Between lines 1310 and 1311
    5  insert:
    6         (112) MOREHOUSE COLLEGE LICENSE PLATES.—
    7         (a) The department shall develop a Morehouse College
    8  license plate as provided in this section and s. 320.08053. The
    9  plate must bear the colors and design approved by the
   10  department. The word “Florida” must appear at the top of the
   11  plate, and the words “Morehouse College” must appear at the
   12  bottom of the plate.
   13         (b) The annual use fees from the sale of the plate shall be
   14  distributed to the Morehouse College Alumni Association of
   15  Broward County, which must use the proceeds for the purpose of
   16  awarding scholarships to Florida residents attending Morehouse
   17  College. The proceeds must be deposited in the endowment
   18  required in s. 320.08056(12). Students receiving these
   19  scholarships must be eligible for the Florida Bright Futures
   20  Scholarship Program pursuant to s. 1009.531 and shall use the
   21  scholarship funds for tuition and other expenses related to
   22  attending Morehouse College.
