       Senator Hutson moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 32 - 42
    4  and insert:
    5         (3) Notwithstanding any other law, the import, export, and
    6  sale of shark fins is prohibited and nothing in this section
    7  authorizes such activities.
    8         (4)(a) The prohibitions under subsection (3) do not apply
    9  to any of the following:
   10         1. The sale of shark fins by any commercial fisherman who
   11  harvested sharks from a vessel holding a valid federal shark
   12  fishing permit on January 1, 2020.
   13         2. The export and sale of shark fins by any wholesale
   14  dealer holding a valid federal Atlantic shark dealer permit on
   15  January 1, 2020.
   16         3. The import, export, and sale of domestically sourced
   17  shark fins by any shark fin processor that obtains fins from a
   18  wholesale dealer holding a valid federal Atlantic shark dealer
   19  permit on January 1, 2020.
   20         (b) This subsection expires on January 1, 2025.

   23  And the title is amended as follows:
   24         Delete lines 3 - 6
   25  and insert:
   26         F.S.; prohibiting the import, export, and sale of
   27         shark fins in this state; providing exceptions;
   28         providing for expiration of the exceptions; providing
   29         an effective date.
