    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to circuit court judges; amending s.
    3         26.031, F.S.; increasing the number of circuit judges
    4         in certain judicial circuits; specifying that the
    5         judicial offices created under the act be filled by
    6         gubernatorial appointment; providing an effective
    7         date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10  
   11         Section 1. Subsections (1), (4), (9), and (14) of section
   12  26.031, Florida Statutes, are amended to read:
   13         26.031 Judicial circuits; number of judges.—The number of
   14  circuit judges in each circuit shall be as follows:

   21         Section 2. The circuit judges filling new offices created
   22  by this act shall be appointed by the Governor.
   23         Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2020.
