       Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Tourism, and
       Economic Development (Lee) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 102 - 109
    4  and insert:
    5         (f)1. The department shall have responsibility for
    6  developing and operating the high-speed and passenger rail
    7  systems established in chapter 341, directing funding for
    8  passenger rail systems under s. 341.303, ensuring general rail
    9  safety, coordinating efforts to enhance passenger rail safety in
   10  the state, and coordinating publicly funded passenger rail
   11  operations in the state, including freight rail interoperability
   12  issues, shall be delegated by the secretary
   13
