Present subsection (4) of section 765.542, 6 Florida Statutes, is redesignated as subsection (5), and a new 7 subsection (4) is added to that section, to read: 8 765.542 Requirements to engage in organ, tissue, or eye 9 procurement.— 10 (4) A for-profit eye bank must disclose its for-profit 11 status to each person involved in a procurement process, 12 including the transplant facility, relevant health care 13 practitioners, family members of the donor, and living donors 14 prior to engaging in the procurement of any eye, cornea, eye 15 tissue, or corneal tissue for use in live-cell corneal 16 transplantation. This subsection does not apply to a hospital or 17 an ambulatory surgical center licensed under chapter 395 or to a 18 district medical examiner appointed under chapter 406. 19 Section 2.
