Notwithstanding any other provision of law: 6 (1) When a law enforcement officer is charged with 7 knowingly committing a battery upon a peaceful demonstrator, the 8 battery for which the law enforcement officer is charged shall 9 be reclassified from a misdemeanor of the first degree to a 10 felony of the third degree. 11 (2) A law enforcement officer convicted of battery upon a 12 peaceful demonstrator committed during a peaceful demonstration 13 of three or more persons shall be sentenced to a mandatory 14 minimum term of imprisonment of 6 months. 15 16 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 17 And the title is amended as follows: 18 Delete line 51 19 and insert: 20 or an aggravated riot; reclassifying the criminal 21 penalty for a law enforcement officer who is charged 22 with knowingly committing a battery upon a peaceful 23 demonstrator; requiring a mandatory minimum term of 24 imprisonment for a law enforcement officer convicted 25 of battery upon a peaceful demonstrator during a 26 certain demonstration; amending s. 806.13, F.S.;
