The Committee on Judiciary (Bradley) recommended the following:
1 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

3 Delete lines 15 - 29
4 and insert:
5 engineering or architectural services.—
6 (1) For the purposes of this section, the term “structures
7 specialist” means a person who has been trained by, and holds a
8 current certification from, the United States Army Corps of
9 Engineers as a structures specialist.
10 (2) An engineer as defined in s. 471.005, an architect as
11 defined in s. 481.203, or a structures specialist, and any
12 qualified business organization of such person, who voluntarily
13 provides engineering or architectural services related to a
14 declared federal, state, or local emergency may not be held
15 liable for any personal injury, wrongful death, property damage,
16 or other economic loss related to his or her acts or omissions
17 in the performance of his or her services, unless the act or
18 omission constituted gross negligence or willful

21 And the title is amended as follows:
22 Delete lines 3 - 7
23 and insert:
24 voluntary engineering or architectural services;
25 creating s. 768.38, F.S.; defining the term
26 “structures specialist”; exempting engineers,
27 architects, and structures specialists from liability
28 for certain voluntary engineering or architectural
29 services under certain circumstances;
