    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to student identification cards;
    3         amending s. 1001.54, F.S.; requiring school principals
    4         to ensure that crisis prevention hotline and text line
    5         numbers and behavioral health hotline and text line
    6         numbers are printed on the back of student
    7         identification cards; providing an effective date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10  
   11         Section 1. Subsection (6) is added to section 1001.54,
   12  Florida Statutes, to read:
   13         1001.54 Duties of school principals.—
   14         (6) Beginning with student identification cards created or
   15  reprinted in the summer of 2021, each school principal shall
   16  ensure that the numbers for a crisis prevention hotline, crisis
   17  prevention text line, behavioral health hotline, and behavioral
   18  health text line are printed on the back of each student’s
   19  identification card.
   20         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2021.
