House Comm: RCS . 03/23/2021 . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Tourism, and Economic Development (Brandes) recommended the following: 1 Senate Amendment 2 3 Delete lines 50 - 52 4 and insert: 5 (5) Of the proceeds of the additional flat fees imposed 6 under subsections (2) and (3), 64 percent shall be deposited 7 into the State Transportation Trust Fund and 36 percent shall be 8 allocated to the county where the vehicle is registered. 9 (a) Until June 30, 2024, the department shall distribute 10 the funds allocated to a county to the respective tax collector 11 for use by the Board of County Commissioners for the purpose of 12 providing publicly available electric vehicle charging 13 infrastructure and related equipment. 14 (b) Beginning July 1, 2024, the department shall transfer 15 the funds allocated to a county to the Department of Revenue for 16 distribution to the Board of County Commissioners and 17 municipalities within the county in proportion to the previous 18 month's distribution of the local option fuel taxes authorized 19 under section 336.025(1)(a). Local governments shall utilize 20 moneys received pursuant to this paragraph for transportation 21 expenditures, as defined in section 336.025(7).
