       The Committee on Criminal Justice (Berman) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 97 and 98
    4  insert:
    5         Section 3. Subsection (2) of section 877.19, Florida
    6  Statutes, is amended to read:
    7         877.19 Hate Crimes Reporting Act.—
    8         (2) ACQUISITION AND PUBLICATION OF DATA.—The Governor,
    9  through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, shall collect
   10  and disseminate data on incidents of criminal acts that evidence
   11  prejudice based on race, religion, ethnicity, color, ancestry,
   12  sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, disability, or
   13  national origin. All law enforcement agencies shall report
   14  monthly to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement concerning
   15  such offenses in such form and in such manner as prescribed by
   16  rules adopted by the department. Such information shall be
   17  compiled by the department and disseminated upon request to any
   18  local law enforcement agency, unit of local government, or state
   19  agency.

   22  And the title is amended as follows:
   23         Delete line 17
   24  and insert:
   25         any person; amending s. 877.19, F.S.; expanding the
   26         data the Governor is required to collect and
   27         disseminate on incidents of criminal acts that
   28         evidence prejudice based on gender, gender identity,
   29         or disability; providing an effective date.
