The Committee on Rules (Brandes) recommended the following:
1 Senate Amendment (with directory and title amendments)

3 Between lines 670 and 671
4 insert:
5 (p) Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary,
6 beginning January 1, 2023, with approval of two members of the
7 Cabinet, restrict in-person K-12 public school attendance or
8 close K-12 public schools if deemed necessary to cope with the
9 emergency.
10 (q) Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary,
11 beginning January 1, 2023, with approval of two members of the
12 Cabinet, restrict the operations of or close any business if
13 deemed necessary to cope with the emergency.
