    5         (6) APPLICABILITY.—This section does not apply to students
    6  who participate, on or before July 1, 2021, in interscholastic,
    7  intercollegiate, intramural, or club athletic teams or sports
    8  that are sponsored by a public primary or secondary school, a
    9  public postsecondary institution, or any school or institution
   10  whose students or teams compete against a public primary or
   11  secondary school or public postsecondary institution.
