       The Committee on Appropriations (Broxson) recommended the
       following:
       
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 476 and 477
    4  insert:
    5         Section 10. In order to implement Specific Appropriation
    6  129 of the 2021-2022 General Appropriations Act, subsection (5)
    7  is added to section 1013.40, Florida Statutes, to read:
    8         1013.40 Planning and construction of Florida College System
    9  institution facilities; property acquisition.—
   10         (5) Notwithstanding subsection (3), prior legislative
   11  approval is not required before a facility may be acquired or
   12  constructed by a Florida College System institution or its
   13  direct support organization even if such facility may require
   14  general revenue funds for operation and maintenance upon project
   15  completion or in subsequent years. However, an institution must
   16  report all of the following information for each facility
   17  acquired or constructed to the Legislature by June 30 of each
   18  year: a description of the facility; the estimated annual
   19  operation and maintenance costs; the source of funds to be used
   20  to cover such costs; the estimated date of completion and total
   21  project cost; and any expenditures to date by fund source. This
   22  subsection expires July 1, 2022.

   27  and insert:
   28         educational institutions; amending s. 1013.40, F.S.;
   29         removing the requirement of prior legislative approval
   30         for certain Florida College System institution
   31         facilities; requiring institutions to report
   32         information related to certain facilities;
   33         incorporating by reference
