       The Committee on Regulated Industries (Perry) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 37 - 49
    4  and insert:
    5  by engaging in the business or acting in the capacity of a
    6  contractor without being duly registered or certified commits
    7  the following:
    8         1. If the contract price is less than $1,000, a misdemeanor
    9  of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s.
   10  775.083.
   11         2. If the contract price is $1,000 or more, but less than
   12  $20,000, a felony of the third degree, punishable as provided in
   13  s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084.
   14         3. If the contract price is $20,000 or more, but less than
   15  $200,000, a felony of the second degree, punishable as provided
   16  in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084.
   17         4. If the contract price is $200,000 or more, a felony of
   18  the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s.
   19  775.083, or s. 775.084.

   21  For purposes of this paragraph, the term “contract price” has
   22  the same meaning as in s. 713.01.

   27  and insert:
