House Comm: RCS . 03/02/2021 . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— The Committee on Children, Families, and Elder Affairs (Bracy) recommended the following: 1 Senate Amendment 2 3 Delete lines 51 - 52 4 and insert: 5 2.a. All program personnel must undergo a level 2 6 background screening in accordance with chapter 435. Fees for 7 state and federal fingerprint processing and retention shall be 8 borne by the applicant. The state cost for fingerprint 9 processing shall be as provided in s. 943.053(3)(e) for records 10 provided to persons or entities other than those specified as 11 exceptions therein. 12 b. Fingerprints submitted to the Department of Law 13 Enforcement pursuant to this paragraph shall be retained as 14 provided by s. 435.12 and, when the Department of Law 15 Enforcement begins participation in the program, enrolled in the 16 Federal Bureau of Investigation’s national retained fingerprint 17 arrest notification program, as provided in s. 943.05(4). Any 18 arrest record identified shall be reported to the department.
