       Senator Taddeo moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 509 and 510
    4  insert:
    5         Section 8. Subsection (5) is added to section 98.0751,
    6  Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         98.0751 Restoration of voting rights; termination of
    8  ineligibility subsequent to a felony conviction.—
    9         (5) The supervisor of elections shall publish on his or her
   10  website a clear and conspicuous notice stating that a person
   11  with a felony conviction, other than for murder or a felony
   12  sexual offense, may lawfully register to vote pursuant to s. 4,
   13  Art. VI of the State Constitution and this section once he or
   14  she has paid any outstanding fines, fees, or other financial
   15  obligations related to that conviction and has completed all
   16  other terms of sentence. The supervisor must also provide
   17  information regarding the process for requesting an advisory
   18  opinion from the division to determine eligibility for voting
   19  rights restoration.
