    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to Medicaid managed care specialty
    3         plans; amending s. 409.977, F.S.; authorizing Medicaid
    4         managed care specialty plans to serve certain children
    5         who receive guardianship assistance payments under the
    6         Guardianship Assistance Program; providing an
    7         effective date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10  
   11         Section 1. Subsection (5) of section 409.977, Florida
   12  Statutes, is amended to read:
   13         409.977 Enrollment.—
   14         (5) Specialty plans serving children in the care and
   15  custody of the department may serve such children as long as
   16  they remain in care, including those remaining in extended
   17  foster care pursuant to s. 39.6251, or are in subsidized
   18  adoption and continue to be eligible for Medicaid pursuant to s.
   19  409.903, or are receiving guardianship assistance payments and
   20  continue to be eligible for Medicaid pursuant to s. 409.903.
   21         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2022.
