    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to fees; amending s. 500.421, F.S.;
    3         requiring hemp extract product registration
    4         applications to include a specified application fee
    5         set by Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services
    6         rule; prohibiting the fee from exceeding a specified
    7         amount per hemp extract product; providing a
    8         contingent effective date.

   10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   11  
   12         Section 1. Paragraph (c) is added to subsection (3) of
   13  section 500.421, Florida Statutes, as created by SB ___, 2022
   14  Regular Session, to read:
   15         500.421 Hemp extract product registration.—
   16         (3) The registrant must include all of the following items
   17  with a completed application:
   18         (c) An application fee, set by department rule, which may
   19  not exceed $500 for each hemp extract product.
   20         Section 2. This act shall take effect on the same date that
   21  SB ___ or similar legislation takes effect, if such legislation
   22  is adopted in the same legislative session or an extension
   23  thereof and becomes a law.
