    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to statewide flooding and sea level
    3         rise resilience; creating s. 14.2031, F.S.;
    4         establishing the Statewide Office of Resiliency within
    5         the Executive Office of the Governor; providing for
    6         the appointment of a Chief Resilience Officer;
    7         providing an effective date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10  
   11         Section 1. Section 14.2031, Florida Statutes, is created to
   12  read:
   13         14.2031 Statewide Office of Resiliency.—The Statewide
   14  Office of Resiliency is established within the Executive Office
   15  of the Governor. The office shall be headed by a Chief
   16  Resilience Officer, who is appointed by and serves at the
   17  pleasure of the Governor.
   18         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2022.
