1 Senate Resolution
2 A resolution commending the Fort Pierce Firehawks
3 football team for its outstanding performance in the
4 2020-2021 season and for winning the 2021 Division 2
5 14U Pop Warner Super Bowl.

7 WHEREAS, the Fort Pierce Firehawks football team was
8 created in 2018, and over 4 years and three seasons the team
9 amassed an impressive record of 38-2, and
10 WHEREAS, the Firehawks team, composed of players 12 to 14
11 years of age, demonstrated strong athletic skill throughout the
12 2020-2021 season, resulting in the team finishing with a perfect
13 17-0 season record, and
14 WHEREAS, in their final game of 2021, the Fort Pierce
15 Firehawks defeated the Northampton Indians from Pennsylvania by
16 a score of 38-12 at the 64th annual Pop Warner Super Bowl in
17 Orlando, and
18 WHEREAS, Duane Simon II, Joseph Weathers, Jr., Traveon
19 Townsend, Ardarius Elmore, Jabari Monds, Jakeim Ellison,
20 Jermaine Walker, Dakerion Ervin, Michael Bell, Jr., Brandon
21 Cummings, Jr., Tyvan Eckles, Jarvis Jacobs, Cedric Garvin, Javon
22 Cruz, Brandon Lisbon, Jr., Kagan Rulapaugh, Darrell Alexander,
23 Terry Bryant, Sabastien Polynice, Terry Adderly, Jr., Jordan
24 Dickerson, Christopher Lynch, Jr., Mylic Bradley, Devanson
25 JeanLouis, Gregory Merricks III, Quinton Dames, Jr., Champ
26 Smith, Deareon Jenkins, and Jontavius Clark, Jr., demonstrated
27 impressive commitment and sportsmanship and made the City of
28 Fort Pierce proud, and
29 WHEREAS, according to Firehawks Coach Eddie Davis, this
30 Super Bowl win is the first time a team of any age group has
31 brought a national title back to Fort Pierce, and
32 WHEREAS, throughout the 2020-2021 season, the Fort Pierce
33 Firehawks team demonstrated powerful dedication and, with the
34 support of its community, achieved national success, NOW,

40 for its outstanding performance in the 2020-2021 season and for
41 winning the 2021 Division 2 14U Pop Warner Super Bowl.
