       Senator Hooper moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Before line 76
    4  insert:
    5         Section 1. Subsection (12) is added to section 30.49,
    6  Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         30.49 Budgets.—
    8         (12) Notwithstanding any other law, and in order to
    9  effectuate, fulfil, and preserve the independence of sheriffs as
   10  specified in s. 30.53, a sheriff may transfer funds between the
   11  fund and functional categories and object and subobject code
   12  levels after his or her budget has been approved by the board of
   13  county commissioners or budget commission.

   18  and insert:
   19         An act relating to law enforcement; amending s. 30.49,
