       Senator Brandes moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Before line 11
    4  insert:
    5         Section 1. Section 401.269, Florida Statutes, is created to
    6  read:
    7         401.269 Telehealth visits with medical directors.—If a
    8  paramedic or an emergency medical technician responds to an
    9  emergency call and finds that the person in need of assistance
   10  is not experiencing an emergency but would benefit from
   11  immediate medical attention, the paramedic or emergency medical
   12  technician may facilitate a telehealth visit with his or her
   13  medical director and assist the medical director in providing
   14  any onsite care within the paramedic’s or emergency medical
   15  technician’s scope of training, as applicable. For purposes of
   16  this section, telehealth” has the same meaning as in s. 456.47.

   19  And the title is amended as follows:
   20         Delete line 2
   21  and insert:
   22         An act relating to telehealth; creating s. 401.269,
   23         F.S.; authorizing paramedics and emergency medical
   24         technicians to facilitate a telehealth visit with
   25         their medical director under certain circumstances;
   26         authorizing such paramedics and emergency medical
   27         technicians to assist their medical director in
   28         providing any onsite care within their scope of
   29         training, as applicable; defining the term
   30         “telehealth”; amending s. 456.47,
