The Committee on Ethics and Elections (Taddeo) recommended the
following:
1 Senate Amendment (with directory and title amendments)

3 Between lines 234 and 235
4 insert:
5 (4) If a person collecting voter registration applications
6 on behalf of a third-party voter registration organization
7 alters the voter registration application of any other person,
8 without the other person’s knowledge and consent, in violation
9 of s. 104.012(4) and is subsequently convicted of such offense,
10 the applicable third-party voter registration organization is
11 liable for a fine in the amount of $10,000.

14 And the directory clause is amended as follows:
15 Delete lines 176 - 177
16 and insert:
17 Section 4. Present subsections (4) through (7) of section
18 97.0575, Florida Statutes, are redesignated as subsections (5)
19 through (8), respectively, a new subsection (4) is added to that
20 section, and paragraph (a) of subsection (3) of that section is
21 amended, to read:

26 and insert:

28 organization is liable for a certain fine if a person
