    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to COVID-19-related claims; amending
    3         s. 768.381, F.S.; extending the timeframe for which
    4         COVID-19-related claims may be brought against health
    5         care providers; providing an effective date.

    7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    8  
    9         Section 1. Subsection (6) of section 768.381, Florida
   10  Statutes, is amended to read:
   11         768.381 COVID-19-related claims against health care
   12  providers.—
   13         (6) APPLICATION PERIOD.—This section applies to claims that
   14  have accrued before December 31, 2023 the effective date of this
   15  act and within 1 year after the effective date of this act.
   16         Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
