    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to COVID-19 eviction information;
    3         creating s. 83.691, F.S.; prohibiting consumer
    4         reporting agencies or companies that provide tenant
    5         screening services from including certain evictions
    6         and information relating to such evictions in
    7         specified reports; providing an effective date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10  
   11         Section 1. Section 83.691, Florida Statutes, is created to
   12  read:
   13         83.691 Prohibitions relating to consumer reports and tenant
   14  screening reports for evictions during a COVID-19 related public
   15  health emergency.—A consumer reporting agency or a company that
   16  provides tenant screening services may not include an eviction,
   17  or any information relating to an eviction or a proceeding
   18  seeking eviction, of a consumer in a consumer report or a report
   19  used for the purpose of screening tenants if such eviction or
   20  proceeding occurred during a period when a public health
   21  emergency related to COVID-19 existed, as determined by the
   22  United States Secretary of Health and Human Services.
   23         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2022.
