       Senator Brandes moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    4  insert:
    5         Section 1. Section 366.945, Florida Statutes, is created to
    6  read:
    7         366.945 Electric vehicle charging stations.—An investor
    8  owned electric utility may provide electric vehicle charging
    9  stations directly to the public through a separate, unregulated
   10  entity or corporate affiliate, in a fair and reasonable manner,
   11  on the same terms and conditions as any other provider of
   12  electric vehicle charging stations. An investor-owned electric
   13  utility may not use rate base investments in the provision of
   14  electric vehicle charging stations directly to the public or in
   15  the ownership and operation of electric vehicle charging
   16  stations.

   19  And the title is amended as follows:
   20         Delete line 2
   21  and insert:
   22         An act relating to renewable energy regulation;
   23         creating s. 366.945, F.S.; authorizing investor-owned
   24         electric utilities to provide electric vehicle
   25         charging stations directly to the public; prohibiting
   26         the use of rate base investments for such stations;
   27         amending s. 366.91,
