By October 1, 2022, the University of South 6 Florida, in consultation with the Florida Alliance to End Human 7 Trafficking, shall develop and submit a proposal to the Attorney 8 General for the creation of a unified statewide data repository 9 for anonymous human trafficking data. The proposal will house 10 the data repository within the University of South Florida's 11 Trafficking in Persons-Risk to Resilience Research Lab and will 12 outline the need for a unified data repository to serve as a 13 portal to collect and analyze anonymous statewide human 14 trafficking data, to inform statewide efforts to combat human 15 trafficking, and to better serve victims of human trafficking. 16 The proposal should consider and recommend various funding 17 mechanisms to establish and operate the data repository, 18 including the potential for use of institutional and privately 19 donated funds. 20 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 21 And the title is amended as follows: 22 Delete lines 2 - 20 23 and insert: 24 An act relating to vulnerable victims and witnesses, 25 and human trafficking; amending s. 92.55, F.S.; 26 revising the standard for orders to protect certain 27 testifying victims and witnesses; prohibiting 28 depositions of certain victims and witnesses in 29 certain proceedings without a showing of good cause; 30 authorizing the court to allow such depositions under 31 certain circumstances; revising factors to be 32 considered by a court in a motion seeking to protect a 33 victim or witness; revising provisions related to 34 available relief; requiring the court to appoint a 35 guardian ad litem or other advocate for the deponent 36 under certain circumstances; authorizing the court to 37 request the aid of an interpreter; requiring the court 38 to make specific findings of fact on the record for 39 certain orders and rulings; making technical changes; 40 requiring the University of South Florida, in 41 consultation with a specified organization, to develop 42 and submit a proposal to the Attorney General for the 43 creation of a unified statewide data repository for 44 anonymous human trafficking data; providing 45 requirements for the proposal; providing an
