Florida Senate - 2022 CS for SB 996 By the Committee on Regulated Industries; and Senator Diaz 580-01962-22 2022996c1 1 A bill to be entitled 2 An act relating to fees; amending s. 468.905, F.S.; 3 requiring an initial or renewal pet store license 4 application to be accompanied by a specified 5 nonrefundable license fee per licensed location; 6 amending s. 468.917, F.S.; requiring the moneys 7 collected from such license fees to be deposited into 8 the Department of Business and Professional 9 Regulation’s Professional Regulation Trust Fund; 10 providing a contingent effective date. 11 12 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 13 14 Section 1. Subsection (5) is added to section 468.905, 15 Florida Statutes, as created by SB 994, 2022 Regular Session, to 16 read: 17 468.905 Licensure of retail pet stores.— 18 (5) An initial or renewal application for a retail pet 19 store license must be accompanied by a nonrefundable license fee 20 not to exceed $25 per licensed location. 21 Section 2. Section 468.917, Florida Statutes, as created by 22 SB 994, 2022 Regular Session, is amended to read: 23 468.917 Deposit of funds.—All moneys collected by the 24 department under this part from licensure fees or civil 25 penalties must be deposited into the department’s Professional 26 Regulation Trust Fund for use by the department for 27 administration of this part. 28 Section 3. This act shall take effect on the same date that 29 SB 994 or similar legislation takes effect, if such legislation 30 is adopted in the same legislative session or an extension 31 thereof and becomes a law.
