Effective upon becoming a law, section 8.062, 6 Florida Statutes, is created to read: 7 8.062 Limitation on choice of venue for actions challenging 8 congressional districts.—Notwithstanding any other provision of 9 law, state court actions challenging the state’s congressional 10 districts shall be brought only in Leon County. 11 Section 8. Effective upon becoming a law, section 8.063, 12 Florida Statutes, is created to read: 13 8.063 Limitations on actions challenging congressional 14 districts.— 15 (1) Actions challenging the state’s congressional districts 16 on state constitutional or state law grounds shall be brought 17 exclusively in state court. 18 (2) A state court action challenging the state’s 19 congressional districts may raise any state constitutional or 20 state law claims, and any federal constitutional or federal law 21 claims, regarding the state’s congressional districts that are 22 within the jurisdiction of the circuit court. 23 (3) Nothing within this section shall be construed to 24 preclude federal courts from deciding actions challenging the 25 state’s congressional districts on federal constitutional or 26 federal law grounds. 27 28 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 29 And the title is amended as follows: 30 Delete line 21 31 and insert: 32 F.S., relating to severability; creating s. 8.062, 33 F.S.; requiring actions challenging the state’s 34 congressional districts to be brought in a specific 35 venue; creating s. 8.063, F.S.; specifying limitations 36 for actions challenging the state’s congressional 37 districts; providing for construction; amending s. 38 8.07,
