       Senator Stargel moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 3578 and 3579
    4  insert:
    5         Section 9. If any provision of this act is held invalid
    6  with respect to any person or circumstance, or if any
    7  congressional districts established in this act are held
    8  invalid, the invalidity does not affect other provisions or
    9  applications of the act or any other districts established in
   10  this act which can be given effect without the invalid provision
   11  or application, and to this end the provisions of this act are
   12  severable. This section shall take effect upon this act becoming
   13  a law.
   14         Section 10. For the 2021-2022 fiscal year, the nonrecurring
   15  sum of $1 million from the General Revenue Fund is appropriated
   16  to the Department of State for any litigation expenses relating
   17  to legal challenges pertaining to the establishment of
   18  congressional districts for the State of Florida. Any unexpended
   19  balance of these funds as of June 30, 2022, shall revert and is
   20  appropriated for the 2022-2023 fiscal year to the Department of
   21  State for the same purpose. This section shall take effect upon
   22  this act becoming a law.
