House Comm: RCS . 04/18/2023 . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— The Appropriations Committee on Transportation, Tourism, and Economic Development (Calatayud) recommended the following: 1 Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 2 3 Delete lines 32 - 48 4 and insert: 5 (2) The division shall award grants to applicants who were 6 deemed eligible for but did not receive funding from the United 7 States Department of Homeland Security’s Nonprofit Security 8 Grant Program within the federal fiscal year. 9 (3) The minimum amount of any grant award is $10,000, and 10 the maximum grant award amount is $150,000. The total amount of 11 funds available for the program is limited to the amount 12 appropriated by the Legislature. 13 (4) The division may use up to 3 percent of the total 14 amount appropriated to administer the grant program. 15 (5) The division shall adopt rules to administer this 16 section, including rules providing criteria for all of the 17 following: 18 (a) Awarding of grant funds to an owner of a facility for 19 hardening security measures. 20 (b) Awarding of grant funds to an owner or a renter of a 21 facility for nonhardening security measures. 22 (c) Establishing the need for grant funds to be awarded to 23 an owner or a renter of a facility that has been operational for 24 a period of at least 6 months or that has received a sufficient 25 number of threats. 26 (6) This section is repealed January 1, 2028, unless 27 28 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 29 And the title is amended as follows: 30 Delete line 7 31 and insert: 32 certain purposes; providing for eligibility; providing 33 limitations on the amount
