House Comm: RCS . 03/21/2023 . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— The Committee on Environment and Natural Resources (Collins) recommended the following: 1 Senate Amendment 2 3 Delete lines 69 - 87 4 and insert: 5 (2) The department shall issue a license by reciprocity to 6 any applicant who has performed duties comparable to a water 7 treatment plant operator, water distribution system operator, or 8 domestic wastewater treatment plant operator while serving in 9 the United States Armed Forces for which the requirements for 10 performing the duties, including education and operational 11 experience, are comparable to or exceed the licensure 12 requirements of s. 403.872. 13 (a) Any person applying for a license by reciprocity under 14 this subsection must meet the following requirements: 15 1. Has passed a skill assessment or competency examination 16 comparable to the licensure examination of the department, 17 subject to approval by the department. 18 2. Is not the subject of a disciplinary or enforcement 19 action at the time of application for reciprocal licensure. 20 3. Submits a completed application for reciprocal licensure 21 and any required supporting documentation. 22 4. Remits the application fee. 23 (b) If an applicant does not meet the requirements for 24 licensure under paragraph (a), the department shall award
