    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to vehicle for-hire licenses; creating
    3         s. 559.956, F.S.; authorizing persons who hold vehicle
    4         for-hire licenses issued by any county or municipality
    5         in this state to perform work in any county or
    6         municipality in this state, regardless of additional
    7         licensing requirements, under certain circumstances;
    8         authorizing persons who hold vehicle for-hire airport
    9         permits to perform work at any airport regardless of
   10         additional airport permit requirements; defining the
   11         term “airport”; providing an effective date.

   13  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   14  
   15         Section 1. Section 559.956, Florida Statutes, is created to
   16  read:
   17         559.956 Vehicle for-hire licenses; reciprocity; standards.—
   18         (1)A person who holds a valid, active vehicle for-hire
   19  license issued by any county or municipality in this state may
   20  perform work in any county or municipality of this state without
   21  being subject to additional licensing requirements and without
   22  paying additional license fees to another county or municipality
   23  if all of the following apply:
   24         (a)The person holds an active vehicle for-hire license in
   25  the county or municipality in which the person is domiciled.
   26         (b)The person has not had a vehicle for-hire license
   27  suspended or revoked within the last 5 years.
   28         (2)A person who holds a valid, active vehicle for-hire
   29  airport permit issued by any airport, county, or municipality in
   30  this state may perform work at any airport without being subject
   31  to additional airport permit requirements and without paying
   32  additional license fees to another airport, county, or
   33  municipality. As used in this subsection, the term “airport”
   34  includes any airport, airport authority, aviation authority, or
   35  other entity that operates a commercial service airport as
   36  defined in s. 332.0075.
   37         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2023.
