Subsection (1) of section 61.517, Florida 6 Statutes, is amended to read: 7 61.517 Temporary emergency jurisdiction.— 8 (1) A court of this state has temporary emergency 9 jurisdiction if the child is present in this state and: 10 (a) The child has been abandoned;or11 (b) It is necessary in an emergency to protect the child 12 because the child, or a sibling or parent of the child, is 13 subjected to or threatened with mistreatment or abuse; or 14 (c) It is necessary in an emergency to protect the child 15 because the child has been subjected to or is threatened with 16 being subjected to sex-reassignment prescriptions or procedures, 17 as defined in s. 456.001. 18 Section 2. Subsection (1) of section 61.534, Florida 19 Statutes, is amended to read: 20 61.534 Warrant to take physical custody of child.— 21 (1) Upon the filing of a petition seeking enforcement of a 22 child custody determination, the petitioner may file a verified 23 application for the issuance of a warrant to take physical 24 custody of the child if the child is likely to imminently suffer 25 serious physical harm or removal from this state.
